Blissful Gardens

Located in Western North Carolina, near the town of Marshall, Blissful Gardens is a holistic rural educational project of WWD-F. It is situated on 33.5 acres of beautiful Appalachian land with mountain vistas, pastoral views, artesian water and fertile soil for the cultivation of fruits, vegetables and herbs. The project is dedicated to personal development, community service, economic self-reliance, and the use of agricultural methods that co-exist with the natural environment.

Blissful Gardens is a multi-phase initiative that is currently developing the following projects:

  • Plant nursery
  • Fruit orchard
  • Organic subsistence garden
  • Organic medicinal/herbal gardens
  • Compost Areas
  • Barn
  • Seed bank
  • Hydroponic greenhouse

Every year, production has increased and this year we are operating a CSA for local residents. However, the most important development at Blissful Gardens is the addition of a central building, called the Lotus House, which will provide space for administrative functions, staff residency, and educational programs. Learn more about the construction of Lotus House and how you can help out.
